Lead me, my Lord! From darkness to light. From untruth to truth. From mortality to immortality.
O my Lord! Please stay here. Bless us all. Bless all those who come here and all people everywhere in the world.
Let Nature be your teacher, Enough of science and of Art, Come forth and bring with you a heart, That watches and receives.
Let the noble thoughts come to us from each and every corner of the cosmos.
About Us
Late Rajendra Roy proposed to establish a school before all the scholars and social reformers. The proposal was unanimously accepted. The question of nomenclature was immediately solved by picking up “Gyan Bharti Public School” which is the another name of “Minerva” herself from the entire suggested names. It was the first week of December 1973 when a handful scholars were to write a new history of Laxmisagar adding much beauty, excellence and merit to it under the presidentship of Pandit Tula Krishna Jha. The real dignity of a man lies not in what he has but in what he is. They were real heroes. Victory to education ! Glory to them !
The very auspicious day when “Gyan Bharti public school” came into form was the 28th of January 1974 i.e. the Shreepanchami of Magha Shuklapaxa. The premises of the school became a place of pilgrimage when it took its form before the ideal of “Minerva” in the midst of vedic mantras. The great “Muse” gave her spiritual support mutely, the scholars, moral support openly and the mohallians social support heartily. We celebrate this day with great pomp and show, every year.
Some Pearls
- Action may not always bring happiness but there is no happiness without action.
- Prosperity is a great teacher; adversity is rather a greater teacher.
- Character is the tree and reputation is its shadow.
- Confession of error is like a broom that sweeps away dirt and leaves the surface cleaner than before.
- He who is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.
Preamble
Thankful are those who dreamt of light when clouds of darkness had been hovering over clouds of darkness. May they live long who put an earthen lamp in the severest cyclone! Common men as they were thosedays, they have been proved very uncommon today. Darbhanga has been very famous for its educational value for millenniums.
Principle Message

Their greatness is beyond description. May you be so kind for good !
- TO THE EXECUTIVE MEMBERS – May you live long ! May your fruitful suggestions come to us fluently ! What don’t you do for the upliftment of the school ? We pay our heartiest honour and respect to you. We expect your valuable suggestions always.
Men should be judged, not by their tint of skin
The Gods they serve, the vintage that they drink
Nor by the way they fight, love or sin
But by the quality of thoughts they think.
The Gods they serve, the vintage that they drink
Nor by the way they fight, love or sin
But by the quality of thoughts they think.
